Establishing international legal frameworks for cybersecurity and cyber warfare
About the Committee
Some conflicts are no longer fought with armies or weapons, but through code, networks, and invisible attacks capable of crippling nations within seconds. In the digital age, cyberspace has become a new domain of power, where critical infrastructure, financial systems, elections, and national security are constantly at risk. Yet while technology advances rapidly, international law struggles to keep pace.
In this Legal Committee, delegates will take on the responsibility of shaping the legal foundations of the modern world by addressing one of the most urgent challenges of our time: establishing international legal frameworks for cybersecurity and cyber warfare.
Delegates must confront complex questions of sovereignty, accountability, digital privacy, state responsibility, and the legality of cyber operations during both peace and conflict. They will negotiate binding norms, define prohibited actions, strengthen protections for civilians and infrastructure, and seek balance between national security and fundamental rights.
Will nations cooperate to create clear rules for cyberspace? Will international law prevent digital conflict before it escalates into real-world catastrophe? Or will the absence of regulation leave the world vulnerable to chaos and mistrust?
The rule of law in the digital era is in your hands.
